Antonio Pulido, president of Fundación Cajasol, reiterates the commitment of the Institution to continue promoting and disseminating flamenco as “a good that is our property and as an original and differentiating sample of our culture.” In addition, Pulido has explained that it has worked hard to offer an annual programme of quality and permanent. “As we have always been doing on Thursdays, and in all our activities in general, we are still betting on youth, without leaving aside the important and necessary contribution of the great masters of this art; offering a varied programme, that allows to contemplate both the essence and the traditional of our culture, as well as to enjoy and deepen innovator proposals”.
Manuel Herrera has explained the first block of the programme of this year 2017, a total of eleven shows that will receive on stage to more than fifty artists. A very special tribute will be made in order to recognise the great work of Cristina Heeren. The only appointment will begin at 8:30 p.m. We will continue to bet on the emerging youth with shows such as the young dancer from Granada Alba Heredia who presents ‘En estado Puro’ and the Habichuelas from Granada with a guitar concert. A grandson of Juan, David Carmona, disciple of the Maestro Manolo Sanlúcar, will delight the ‘Flamenco Thursdays’ fans with his ‘Dream of madness’.
